Summerfest Week 7 - LoveThis week was a challenge for me. I immediately thought of singing a song for my mom. She passed away last year after a battle with cancer. I have wrote several poems about her passing and I wanted to share one of them for this challenge. However, I had a difficult time finding the right song. I opted to this song, a song I'd never heard of, because I liked the words. I have no idea how the song actually goes I just went with what felt right and this is it.Here is my poem for this weeks challenge. FeelingsThough you are gone and time has passed, the memories of you shall last. We look back and think of you, for no one can take away our view. You were taken and that we accept, for we can’t change dates of death. We still love you and miss your touch, its just not something we talk about much. Though it’s not spoken its readily known, we cry for you when we’re alone. For anyone reading that’s unsure, we’re speaking of our mom and a love that pure. We love you mom with all our hearts, and though your gone we’ll never part. © 2010
